Many are accomplished historians specializing in such topics as spectacles, quackery, instrumentation, and the personalities of the ophthalmic sciences. They highlight incredible moments in history. Devoted to the history of the American Optical Company and serves as a valuable resource of ophthalmic history. Dick Whitney, curator, has found a permanent home in historic Southbridge, MA. for the artifacts of the American Optical Company.

New Jersey Civil War Heritage Association (NJCWHA) is a volunteer 501(c)(3) non profit organization founded in 1998. It's goal is to preserve New Jersey’s unique Civil War heritage, and to educate all New Jerseyans about the crucial role our state played in the battle to save the Union.

NJCWHA is also the parent organization of the New Jersey Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee, recognized by the NJ Governor and both houses of the NJ Legislature.
